Villa al Sur is located in Pithari on the Akrotiri peninsula of Chania. The area is well known for its beautiful sandy beaches and bays, offering crystalline waters and gorgeous views, such as Kalathas, Marathi and Loutraki, which are all a short drive from the villa. As you continue down to Souda, some fish restaurants line the bay, flanked by a narrow beach with shallow waters.  The peninsula is a pleasure to explore with small villages, hidden bays and ancient monasteries all waiting to be discovered.

From Villa al Sur, the road  into Chania town will lead you through a lush forest area and past famous monuments such as the Venizelos grave. Within a 9km drive, you are likely to visit the enchanting town more than once during your stay! The Venetian restaurant lined harbour, museums, architecture and winding alleyways hiding small tavernas, boutiques and gelaterias are a pleasure to explore on foot.

A little further afield, yet easy to access due to the villa's proximity to the national road, lie the Theriso gorge, Botanical Park and waterpark all waiting to be discovered. Both the Imbros and Samaria gorge are located in the Chania prefecture for hikers and anyone interested in the stunning natural landscape, and for lovers of archeology, a short drive to the site of Aptera will be a treat.
